I gladly concede - I surrender
Alright, let me begin …
Let me see if I can recite what I remember
The “Let Go, Let God” Prayerful Affirmation
Written for those who believe that it is only by their determination
And by the strength of their own Stubborn Force and Unguided Will
That the best Outcome happens. “Peace, the Inner Voice of the Still
Speak to me in Ways that I hear, grasp, and understand/
Quiet the cacophony inside my confused heart. Take my hand
Lead me to green pastures found on Higher Ground
Where the Spirit of Tranquility longs to set me free
‘Give In, Give Up, Give All’, are the three
things that Spirit asks of me.”/
And as soon as I released
My worries, all confusion ceased/
The wind danced up my hands; the water’s edge rose up into the sweet summer air -
Thank you Joy, for your quiet watch; in the still of surrender, I will always find you waiting there.
